Adelina Sanchez De La Cruz, 95, passed away on February 26, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on May 8, 1918 to Jose Sanchez and Severa Vela in Mexico, and was very proud to have become a naturalized citizen in 1986.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ramiro, her parents, her 5 siblings and grandchild, James Syler.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Joe De La Cruz (Sylvia), Sylvia Syler (John) and Ann Tapley (Roy); grandchildren, Cindy Mora, Sabrina Tapley, Roy Tapley IV, William Syler and Zachary Syler; great grandchildren, Raya Tapley, Braden Mora and her sister Concepcion Gonzalez.
Family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
