

He graduated from Sundeen H.S. in 1950. He was the Treasurer of his Senior Club and was employed by Slovak Bros. Construction at the time. He served in the U.S. Army in the First Armored Division in the Korean War.
He was married to Guadalupe V. Valdez on January 6, 1952. He worked at the C. C. Army Depot for 25 years. He was a Knight of Columbus at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He had a passion for sports and coached Little League and Pony League for many Years. He was an umpire and referee for 30 years. Agapito was a good father, a faithful husband, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a devout Catholic and never lost his faith.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Botello; his children: Agapito G. Botello III, Rachel Ann B. Cox (David), Irene B. Valdez, Sara Botello, Leon Andres Botello (Rixt), Raymond John Botello and Terry Botello Ayala. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Agapito Botello III, Leon A. Botello, Raymond J. Botello, Mike Everett, Joshua Botello, Jacob A. Ayala, Andy Botello and Sam Garza. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Cox, Mathew Everett.
