Born September 5, 1946 passed away September 6, 2021.
We lost more than a Friend on that Day. Alan passed with his closest friends by his side. He was preceded in death by his father Max S. Yaffe of Dallas, Texas; a concert violinist and his mother Gerda Hollander Yaffe who wrote & published many historical articles of her escape from the holocaust. Alan attended North Texas State University (Sigma Alpha Mu) where he received his Bachelor of Arts on January 28, 1969; Texas Tech University where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence on December 19, 1972; he received his Law Degree on April 16, 1973. He began his Practice of Law in the Southern District of Texas on June 7, 1974 and continued to work successfully as a member of the Texas State Bar throughout his career, until his retirement in 2010. Alan was a PROUD Lifetime Member 1981, Endowment Member 2000, Benefactor Member 2004, and Patron Member Millennium Membership of the National Rifle Association. Alan was an active member of Temple Beth El of Corpus Christi until he moved in his retirement years to Bandera, Texas where he spent the last decade of his life in his “Dream Home” (a small log cabin on Lake Medina) where he enjoyed his faithful canine Max, the deer in his yard and beautiful views. Alan is survived by his dearest friends and his cousin Carolyn Yaffe Gay. There will be no formal services. There will be a Celebration of his Life on November 5, 2021 at Fajitaville Grill, 221 S. Hotel, Corpus Christi, TX 78402 at 7 pm. Please come and share your favorite story, as we all know, Alan had many interests and eccentricities.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.FunerariaDelAngelMHolly.com for the Yaffe family.
