Albert Garcia Gonzalez

Albert loved God, family, and country. His life was defined by devotion, service, and the joy he found in preserving memories. He had a passion for photography and a deep interest in genealogy, ensuring that family stories and legacies would live on for generations.

After graduating from Mary Carroll High School in 1964, Albert enlisted in the United States Army and served for three years, including a one-year tour in Vietnam with the 23rd Infantry Division. During his service, he earned the Army Commendation Medal in recognition of his dedication and bravery.

Following his military service, Albert continued his education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&I University in 1973 and a Master’s Degree from Corpus Christi State University—now Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi—in 1978. He went on to build a meaningful and impactful career, serving with the Nueces County Adult Probation Department, retiring from Robstown ISD as a Counselor, and retiring from the United States Air Force Reserves. His commitment to service, both military and civilian, reflected his deep sense of duty, compassion, and integrity.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Emilia G. and Sergio S. Gonzalez, and his lifelong companion, Sylvia Santos.

He is survived by his loving children: Kathy V. Gonzalez (Analissa), Yvette M. Gonzalez, Michael A. Gonzalez (Alexis), and Crystal G. Del Bosque; his beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Justine (Jeffrey Jay Pecheux), Alissa, Aiden, Julian, Andrew, Olivia, Atticus, and Gabriel; his siblings, Carlos Gonzalez (Mary), Gloria (Alan Roberts), and Ricardo E. Gonzalez; his aunt, Mary Martin; his nieces and nephews, Zenia, Zarron, Natalie, and Neal; and his great‑nephew, Zaiden.

Albert was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, love, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain present in the stories he preserved, the photographs he captured, and the family he loved so dearly. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be loved and remembered always.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, US, on September 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Committal from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
