She is reunited with her maternal grandfather, Benjamin Barrera; and her paternal great grandmother, Gloria “Mima” Valdez.
Aleena leaves her loving memories to her beloved parents, Luis “Louie” A. III and Lorraine Valdez; brother, Bentley A. Valdez; maternal grandmother, Linda Lopez; paternal grandparents, Luis A. Valdez Jr. and Rosa Valdez. She is also survived by her aunts, Christina Lopez, Crystal Valdez; uncles, Mark “Marky” Valdez, Nicholas “Niko” Piperis, Anthony Barrera, Benjamin Barrera, Eric Barrera; numerous cousins, and extended family and friends.
In her two (almost three) years of living Aleena was the most rambunctious, caring, brave, little ball of fire. She had made a new family with her daycare teachers whom she had been under their care for almost two years. Everyone who met her fell in love with her charm. Aleena loved unicorns, LOL surprise, strawberries, chocolate milk and a variety of other snacks. Her nickname by family members and friends was “weenie” and her mother and father called her “little chicken nugget” since she would do a little dance when she ate chicken nuggets.
Aleena, you are so loved and will be missed dearly. Keep Grandpa Benny, Uncle Noe and Grandma “Mima” on their toes and don’t ever stop playing. We love you and continue to shine your way until we’re together again.
