Alejandro M. Perez Sr.

Alejandro M. Perez Sr., passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, in Corpus Christi, TX at the age of 96. He was born on May 29, 1921 in Laredo, Texas. He was a combat veteran of World War II, worked for 35 years at Corn Products and was owner and operator of Perez & Sons Service Station. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo Perez and Micaela Gonzalez; wife, Herminia Perez; son, Geronimo Perez, son-in-law, Santiago “Jim” Ayala and grandchild, Gracie.

Alejandro is survived by his daughter, Estela P. Ayala; four sons, Alejandro Jr., Abel (Becky), Edward (Janie), Robert (Kathy); 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Family will meet at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 710 S. 19th St, on Friday, April 6, 2018 to celebrate Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
