My Daddy’s Last Kiss
A fathers touch. a daddy's kiss
a grieving daughter, you're greatly missed
an empty house, an empty chair
a fathers love no longer there
a broken heart, a tear filled eye
another soul to fill the sky
many memories in my mind
some I laugh some I cry
the times we shared, the laughs we had
things I miss when I think of my dad
realizing that's all I have to hold on to
only memories, of what once was you
missing your laugh I will never hear again
that is the reality that fills me with so much fear
no last hug, no last kiss
no last goodbye I have just one wish
to have you dad here today
never to leave me this way
a father touch, a daddy's kiss
a grieving daughter you are greatly missed

The Broken Chain
We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

It’s hard to believe that you’re really gone. Honestly I never thought this day would come! May 6 will always be a day I will never forget. 💔
I have been blessed with such great strong men in my life my grandpa Iglesias, my grandpa Downs and my dad. They say behind every great man is a strong woman and I truly believe that my dad is a great man (in my eyes). And my mom is a strong woman (in my eyes), but did you also know behind a strong woman is a great father! My grandpa was a amazing man Always there to help out whoever needed it. And never asked for anything in return. He loved the lord with all his heart. In fact he told us when he was getting to the end of his journey he was sad that he could not read his Bible anymore. I gave my Tia Andie a book called Calling Jesus. And he would hold that while they would pray together. So I bought him one of his own and he would carried that book all the time.
I know you are not here on earth no more. But I know you are up in haven dancing and singing with your love ones.
Save a place for me because I know I’ll see you again one day! Love you forever and always your granddaughter Cassandra Iglesias

Heading to Corpus today for my grandpa who’s dancing with grandma Downs up in heaven!
For those who don’t know- my daddy passed away when I was 9 months old, his dad- was the closest person to daddy that I had! I always looked at grandpa and saw my dad. Grandpa was strong and loving and could figure out the answer to any problem. Cody calls him the “Silver Fox!”
I will miss his laugh, his stories of working at HEB and his hugs. I will hang on to precious memories like see him praying in bed the last time he visited. I will miss my handsome grandpa but I will see you again! Rest In Peace grandpa! You’re with daddy too! ❤️❤️❤️ I can close my eyes & see all of you looking at all of us with smiles and love in your heart!

It would have been awesome to know you as a neighbor. It would have been a privilege to know and call you friend. But better and above all these, I was blessed and honored to call you "Grandpa."
Thank you Grandpa for all the love, laughs and stories. Give Grandma a big hug from her favorite "brown-noser."
I will miss you and look forward to the day we're all reunited.

My Grandpa Alex gained his wings and became an angel. He journeyed on to heaven to be with my grandmother and father.
Our hearts are breaking, but we’re also rejoicing that he’s no longer suffering and gets to go home.
My Grandpa was such a vibrant, strong, patriarch of our family. He had integrity, values and morals that he ingrained in all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was such a hard worker and loved his family fiercely. He always told us to make good decisions and he would bless us each time we saw him.
He will forever be loved, missed and cherished. I’m so thankful and grateful for him.💖
