Alexis (Alex) Perez, 56, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2026. Born on February 1, 1970, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Alex spent his life rooted in the community that shaped him and that he, in turn, helped shape through steady work, loyal devotion, and everyday kindness.
Alex graduated from Moody High School and went on to build a respected career in HVAC, working for W. White Air Conditioning. In a profession that demands both skill and reliability, he was known for showing up, seeing things through, and taking pride in work done the right way.
On September 29, 2006, Alex married Lisa (Arnold) Perez in Corpus Christi, Texas. Their life together was anchored by the kind of commitment that is measured in constancy—care given freely, priorities kept clear, and family held closest.
Away from work, Alex found enjoyment in Formula One racing and had a particular appreciation for his vehicles. He was also known for his special care for stray cats, a quiet reflection of a compassionate heart and an instinct to look after what others might overlook. And in all things, he returned to what mattered most to him: his family.
Those who knew Alex will remember not only his dedication, but also the lightness he brought to ordinary moments. There was not a pun he could not make—or pass up—and his humor, offered with ease, remains a cherished part of his legacy.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on October 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with service at 12:30 and burial to follow at Memory Gardens, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, on October 20, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Alex will be remembered with respect and gratitude, and he will be deeply missed.
