Alfredo "Al" Hughes, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 with family by his side. Freddy enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, and sports. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their events. Freddy also served his country in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Hughes and brother, Carlos Hughes.
Freddy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Irma Hughes; daughter, Claudine Saenz (Samuel); son, Eric Hughes (Julie); 3 grandchildren, Chelsea Saenz, Dylan Saenz, Natalie Clair Hughes; 1 great-grandchild, Jayden Iziah; father, Alfredo Hughes, Sr.; brothers, Armando Hughes, Richard Hughes; and sister, Diana Hughes.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Rites of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
