Alicia Mora Gomez

Alicea Mora Gomez , 60, went home to be with her beloved Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 24, 2011 with her family by her side.

Alicea was born to Juan and Maximiana Mora in Sinton, Texas on December 5, 1950. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and godmother and she will be dearly missed by all that loved her down to earth humor. An LVN for 30+ years, she stayed active in her profession even after she retired in 2003. You live One Day at a Time “Un Dia a la Vez” the title to her favorite song was what she lived by.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maximiana Mora; a sister Dalia M. Lopez.

Alicea is survived by her 3 sons: Juan D. Gomez III (Jennifer), Daniel Gomez, Sr., Raul Gomez all of Corpus Christi, Texas; 3 grandchildren Daniel Gomez, Jr, Mellamina Gomez and Ethan Gomez all of Corpus Christi, Texas; ex-husband Juan D. Gomez, Jr.; 3 sisters: San Juana Ennis (Lee) of Anaheim, CA, Petra Mora of Tennessee, and Julia M. Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas; 3 brothers: Porfirio Mora (Irma), Antonio (Maria) Mora of Corpus Christi, Texas and Rev. Tomas Mora (Neely) of Ft. Worth, Texas; Aunt Consuelo Ledesima of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives throughout the State of Texas.

A very special thanks to Victoria Dimas and her family for taking care of Alicea.

Public visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne Street.

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel where services will conclude.
