Alicia M. Luna entered into he loving arms of Our Lord on September 2, 2026 at the tender age of 80. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 19, 1946 to parents, Luciana Gonzales Moya and Senon Moya. Alicia Luna was a woman who loved with her whole heart. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, devoted sister and friend, she found her greatest joy in her family and spent her life making sure the people she loved were cared for, protected, and surrounded by love.
Family was everything to Alicia. She was fiercely protective of her children and would stand up for them without hesitation. To her, being a mother meant more than simply being there—it meant making sure her children always knew they had someone in their corner. No matter what life brought their way, Alicia was ready to defend, encourage, and support the people she loved. Her love only grew as her family grew. Becoming a grandmother and later a great-grandmother brought her a special kind of happiness. She treasured the time she spent with each generation and loved watching her family grow.
Alicia also had a joyful spirit and knew how to have a good time. Music was a constant part of her life, and she loved to dance. A good song could bring out her happiness and get her moving.
She will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Juan S. Luna; son, Mariano Ovalle; parents, Luciana and Senon Moya; and siblings, Rosalinda Robles, Rodolfo Moya, Abraham Moya, Ramiro Moya, David Moya and Alonzo Moya.
Alicia’s memory will forever live in her children, Veronica Villanueva, Dario “Billy Boy” Ovalle (Reyna), and Felipe Luna (Julie); brother, George Moya; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; friend of 48 years, Elma Coronado; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Those who knew Alicia will remember her joyful personality, her fierce loyalty, and the tremendous love she had for her family. She had a way of making the people around her feel cared for and protected, and her presence brought warmth and energy wherever she went.
