Alicia Tamez

She joined her parents, Felix and Petra Rodriguez; husband of 47 years, Cruz Tamez; sisters, Tomasita and Ernestina; brother, Manuel and grandson, Randy Gorbet, Jr.

She will be remembered for her love of laughter, sense of humor and dedication to her children and family. She loved the Lord and had strong faith.

She is survived by her children that loved her with all their hearts, Maria Brandon (Terry), Dolores Ramirez (Wally), Janie Reyes (Rudy), Letty Gamez, Blanca Silva (Porfi), Cruz Tamez, Jr. (Diane), Sylvia Hill (Alvin), Connie Tamez; sister, Guadalupe (Ruperto); favorite nephew, Juan Tamez (Alma); eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Christopher Tamez, J.R. Reyes, Jacob Silva, Johnny Paniagua, Larry Garcia and Juan Tamez. Honorable pallbearers will be Cruz Tamez, Jr., Wally Ramirez, Alvin Hill and Terry Brandon.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 23, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
