Alifonsa R. Mejorado, age 86, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2014. Alifonsa was born on May 12, 1927 to Santiago and Prisciliana Escobar Ramirez. She was a devoted wife, loving sister and aunt; she will be dearly missed by her beloved family. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Trenidad Amador (Juan), Consuelo Ruiz (Encarnacion), Cleotilde Ramirez (Monico); brother-in-law, Juan Alvares and sister-in-law, Angela Ramirez.
She is survived by her husband Elisandro Mejorado, sisters; Tomasa Ramirez, Eustolia Alvares, Juanita Ramirez and Margarita Prieto (Juventino); brother, Ceferino Ramirez; 22 nieces and nephews; Her Goddaughter, Maria G. Rivera
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 29, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel at 549 Cheyenne St. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Luis Cabrera officiating; a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening with Deacon Blanco. A funeral service will be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel; interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
