Alma Rosa Garcia
January 16, 1955 – July 21, 2021
Alma Rosa Garcia, 66, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away July 21, 2021. She was born in Mexicali on January 16, 1955. She was married to Alexander Cordero Garcia on December 5, 1980.
Alma is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ignacio & Maria Ayala; and her siblings, Jorge Ayala, Jose Luis Ayala, and Rafael Ayala.
Alma leaves her loving memories to her husband, Alexander C. Garcia; her children, Liliana Pena, Deborah Garcia, and Alexander Garcia; her grandchildren, Christie Torres, Christopher Pena, Christian Pena, Cayden Pena, Kayla Garcia-Trevino, Cayleb Garcia, Kayleigh Higgins, and Chloe Garcia; her great-grandson, Aaron Torres; her siblings, Ignacio Ayala, Margarita Hernandez, Maria Luz Solorzano, Marta Torres, Berta Ayala, Alejandrina Ayala, and Victoria Ayala.
Alma Garcia was many things in life, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, but what most defined her life was that she was an avid follower of Christ. Her life exemplified that of Christlike love to her three children and many grandchildren. Her love for her family was only preceded by her love for her husband, to whom she was happily married to for forty-one years. In the same way she cared for her family, she made sure to extend the same tender care to all those she called a friend. She is remembered for the many conversations she had with her family, encouraging them to put Christ first and foremost in their lives, and in many ways, her acts of love spoke more words than what could be said. Her warm affection for her friends had the unique ability to make anyone feel as though they were lifelong friend, but to her family, she was able to comfort through any hardship. All life events and holidays were only made more special by her presence, to which she always made time to be at.
Though her health was a constant struggle in the last part of her life, it never limited her ability to care for all those she loved. Her family is comforted in the fact that she has finally ceased from feeling pain or experiencing sickness. For now, in her passing, she is embraced by her loving Savior, living eternally with Him to which, we will one day be reunited with.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at New Life Church, 5801 McArdle Rd. Corpus Christi, TX 78412. All floral donations can be delivered to 7614 Angelwing Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

We knew Alma as a sister-in-law and better yet, as a sister-in-Lord. Her legacy in our lives is as a Godly woman. Her sweet friendship and joyful, kind manner were always clearly evident to us and in all the accounts we heard from the family. She "soldiered on" in Christ through adversity and truly became the soul (Alma) of the family. We will miss our beloved sister...for a little while.

My beautiful aunt was the kindest, most forgiving and wonderful person amongst us. She was giving and generous.I remember Christmas at my Nana’s house….remember putting on her high heels when we were little. Playing her record player and records. There are no words to describe the brokenness and pain felt by her demise. Remembering all the special times is what is helping us get through this loss. I will forever love you Madre.
