Alonzo M. Aguirre, 46, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on April 19, 2018. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 7, 1972 but raised in San Antonio, TX where he graduated from Harlandale High School. Alonzo’s accomplished career in the retail clothing industry began over 30 years ago with his first job at Shopper’s World in San Antonio, TX at the age of 16; to say that he worked his way up from the bottom is an understatement. His creativity and passion are what drove his zest for presentation. Most recently, he spent 6 years sharing his craft with Chicos FAS Inc. and previously spent several years with BCBG Maxazria, Armani Exchange and VF Corporation. Alonzo is preceded in death by his parents, Beatriz Carreon Aguirre and Angel V. Aguirre. He is survived by: Siblings - Arnold Aguirre, Alex Aguirre (Rachl), and Angie Aguirre Panatex. Nieces and nephews - Alex Robert Aguirre, Arnold Aguirre Jr., Madeline Elaine Panatex, Danielle Elysse Aguirre, Austin Stephen Aguirre and Emily Carmen Panatex. Alonzo had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends who he cherished and were a large part of his life. However, we would like to mention a particular group of folks who we know where a significant part of Alonzo’s life. Our aunt Chayo (Rosario Carrisalez) who was like a second mother to him and continues to be for us. Sandra Sanchez, Perla Wright, Gloria Rodriguez and Marc Wilcher…all of which we know held a special place in his heart. The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude for the unwavered out powering of love, support and kindness that we’ve received by numerous friends and peers especially from his Chico’s family. Alonzo had a zest for life, passion for hard work and a spirit that encouraged everyone to reach their highest potential. We can keep his memory alive by living the words of Maya Angelou, who he often drew inspiration from: “If you are always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be” Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
