Alvin Jennings Jamison, a beloved and hard-working individual, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on June 24, 1934, in McNair, Mississippi, Alvin lived a life full of dedication and passion.
Alvin attended United Vocational High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. His career was centered around farm machinery mechanics, a field in which he excelled and contributed significantly.
On October 22, 1959, Alvin married Charlien Womack, marking the beginning of a cherished partnership. Together, they built a life filled with love and mutual support.
Alvin had a variety of personal interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed flying small airplanes and had a particular fondness for John Deere Tractors. His weekends were often spent exploring flea markets and estate sales, always on the lookout for unique finds.
In addition to his personal pursuits, Alvin was deeply involved in his community. He dedicated time to missionary work and served in ministry as a deacon, reflecting his commitment to helping others and his strong faith.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his wife of 66 years of marriage, Ms. Charlien Jamison, their 4 children: Janice (David) Fitzgerald, Larry Jamison, Al Jamison and Marti Jamison, numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; Jennings George Jamison and Velma Twiner Jamison along with brother: Lloyd Jamison
Alvin Jennings Jamison resided in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by family, friends, and the community he served so faithfully.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, located at 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
