Amanda “Mandy” Cano passed from this earth into eternal rest on June 1, 2018 at the age of 51. She was born October 11, 1966 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Amador Lopez Cano and Adela Torres Cano. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mandy had a career with Walmart Sam’s Club as a regional manager and traveled to Mexico City, China and Puerto Rico before coming back to the USA and marrying the love of her life, Lisa.
Mandy was intelligent and had great knowledge. She will be remembered for the saying she lived life by “give from your heart, and don’t expect anything in return”. That truly defined who she was. She loved helping others and always made time to give to many different charity organizations.

Cano; daughter, Cassie Zapata (Samuel); sisters, Adel Tijerina (John) and Alicia Tijerina (David); brothers, Amador Cano (Mindy), Arturo Cano (Annette), Armando Cano, and Arnold Cano (Linda); grandchildren, Leah Zapata and Samuel Zapata II; 25 nephews and nieces and 18 great nephews and nieces. She is also survived by a beautiful circle of friends that were always like a family to her.
The family would like to extend a very Special Thanks to the staff at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, BMT & 8th floor oncology, Dr. Shaughnessy and staff for all their support and care throughout this time.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with an evening service to begin at 7:00 pm. Services will conclude in the Chapel.
