

Amelia Vasquez passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 29, 2024 at the age of 60. She was born on February 2, 1964 to the late Roberto P. Vasquez and Paula M. Vasquez. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Amelia was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed bringing smiles to everyone's face and always thought of her family. She will be remembered for being a very hard worker throughout life and always made it happen for her family.
She had a passion for football, birthdays, candies, flowers, jewelry, perfume, steaks and BBQ. She will especially be remembered for her love of ching ching slots, bingo with her sisters and aunts, Tejano music, dancing, lottery tickets and most of all talking with her grandchildren.
She is reunited with her parents; and her siblings, Ramiro Muro and Eva Esparza.
She leaves to cherish her memories her companion of 15 years, Baldo Duran; her children, Benny Vasquez (Tisha Terpening), Belinda Torres (Robert), Daniel Garza (Audri Razo); her six grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way who she was looking forward to meeting. She is also survived by her siblings, Tina Reyes, Maria Deras, Berta Gutierrez, Hope Espinosa, Oscar Vasquez and a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses at Fresenius Dialysis Center. All the nurses and doctors at shoreline and bay area; to the tia and tios who helped keep her calm and positive on life. They would also like to extend a very special thank you to Baldo who she absolutely adored and loved as her hunny bunny and who for the harder years of her life always kept her happy and taken care of.
The family of Amelia Vasquez will receive family and friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. A Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. and funeral services will follow that same morning.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be sent to a local animal shelter in her name as she was a big animal person and did love all of her childrens pets.
