

Aminta Munoz, beloved mother, nana, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 4, 2025, at the age of 88. Aminta was born on August 14, 1937 to Octaviano and Josefa Perez in Rios, Texas.
Aminta was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and nana. She lived a life of unwavering faith and strength until her very last breath. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family and her greatest joy came from spending time with them. She loved to read her Bible daily and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting. She especially loved to cook tamales and pan de polvo cookies for her children and grandchildren. She also thoroughly enjoyed mariachi music; it was her favorite. Up until the end, Aminta maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, and her love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, which was full of love and beautiful experiences.
Aminta is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Humberto Munoz; her parents, Octaviano and Josefa Perez; and her ten siblings, Valentine, Rafael, Vicente, Maria, Eva, Paula, Chepita, Gonzala, Bertha and Elsa. She is survived by her children, Selina (Jack) Millen, Louisa (David) Tiner, Nita (David) Quintanilla and Joey (Lori) Munoz, and by her greatest treasures which were her three grandchildren, Adam Quintanilla, Blair Echols, and Joseph Munoz.
A private Mass and memorial will be held for immediate family at a later date.
