Amparo was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and the heart of her family. She was a true matriarch whose love, strength, and wisdom touched generations. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and making sure that everyone around her felt loved, welcomed, and cared for.
Amparo was happiest in the kitchen, preparing meals and making sure no one ever left her home hungry. Feeding her family was one of the many ways she expressed her love. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, laughter, stories, and, of course, plenty of food.
She was a strong woman who worked hard for the people she loved. She always put her children and family first and taught those around her the importance of love, family, perseverance, and taking care of one another. She could be firm when she needed to be, but beneath that strength was a tender heart and an unwavering love for her family.
Amparo enjoyed watching her novelas and singing, but her greatest role was being there for her family. She was the person people could turn to for guidance, comfort, and advice. She had a way of making sure you knew what she thought—even when you weren't quite ready to hear it. Her stories, her memories, her struggles, and the wisdom she shared will remain a cherished part of her family's history.
She raised seven children and helped raise 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Through them, her love will continue for generations to come. The family she built is her greatest legacy, a legacy rooted in love, sacrifice, strength, and devotion.
Amparo is survived by her seven children: Jose Luis (Guadalupe) Sandoval,Guadalupe (Arturo) Duran, Julia (Bob) Kimbrough, Juan Manuel (Rosa) Sandoval, Agustin (Andrea) Sandoval, Narciso (Elena) Sandoval, Anselmo (Crystal) Garza.
Amparo leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the many lives she nurtured and the generations she helped shape. Her presence may no longer be with us, but her love will remain woven into the lives of her family forever.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, her generous spirit, her stories, her singing, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the way she made everyone feel that they belonged. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and her love will be carried forward by every generation that follows.
Viewing and Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on September 15, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm, followed by the Holy Rosary at the same location at 7:00 pm.
Continued Visitation will take place at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on September 16, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am, with the Funeral Service to follow at the same location at 10:00 am.
Committal and Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on September 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am.
