Andrea Torres, 88, of Laredo, Texas, died January 30, 2016. She was known as Yaya, daughter to Juanita G. Moreno and Santos Moreno. Andrea was married to Santos Torres for 73 years upon his passing in 2014.
She is survived by daughter, Gracie Rodriguez; sons, Santos Torres Jr. and Andres Torres. She is also survived by four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
For years she owned her own ceramic shop, a place she used her artistic talent and creativity. The later years of her life were filled with the happiness and joy that her grandchildren and then later her great-grandchildren brought her. They all were the love of her life. She was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
