Our dear brother was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry. Andres was a 1976 Foy H. Moody High School graduate.
He is predeceased by his parents Andres and Josefina Paz Rivas.
He is survived by his only daughter, Magdalena Rivas Burvato. His sisters Irene (Oscar) Rodriguez, Rebecca (David) Pena, Graciela (Juan Manuel) Ortiz. His brothers Gilberto Rivas, and Alfredo (Brenda) Rivas. Numerous nieces and nephews from Corpus Christi, Texas, Florida, and San Antonio, Texas; and cousins in El Paso, Texas and San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 8:15 am at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas. A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 am. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
Pallbearers: David Pena, Noe Buentello, Allen Rodriguez, Orlando Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Ortiz, Andrew Medrano.
