Angelica R. Farias, age 82 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico on April 16, 1936. Angelica graduated from Simon Bolivar Business College in Monterrey and received a business degree from Del Mar and Durham College in California.
She was married on December 29, 1956 to Columbus Wells Farias.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Paul Gary; mother, Elisa Valdez and guardians, Jack and Evelyn Scholl.
Angelica worked for Telefono Mexican/KWBU Radio and volunteered with the Crisis Intervention, Red Cross and Loaves and Fishes. She was a member of Hija de Maria at Sacred Heart, Schoenstatt, Christ the King Eucharistic Minister, Spanish Choir, and a Guadalupana and she had a passion for life.
She was survived by her children, Columbus, Margaret, Juanita, Diana and Paulette; grandchildren, Mathew, Nadine, Kevin, Chandra, Celestina, Sabastion, Joshua, and Rogelio and other family members.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
