Angie graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1967 and was a proud Buccaneer alumni. She was employed at CCAD for 27 years before retiring in August, 1995. She met the love of her life, Oscar V. Salinas, during her career at CCAD, and they were married for 55 years. Angie loved her family, and was especially close to her daughter, Emily Salinas Garza. They shared a bond like no other.
Angie was a strong woman of God. She was a devoted Catholic who prayed daily for all her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her family at backyard barbecues, cooking meals, and watching the Longhorns and Cowboys play. She was lovingly referred to as “The Kid” by her family.
Angie was a dedicated grandmother to her grandsons, Benjamin and Noah. She loved supporting them at their school events and was a huge presence in their lives.
Angie is survived by her husband, Oscar V. Salinas, her daughter, Emily Salinas Garza (Rudy), grandsons Benjamin and Noah Garza, and her brothers Benny (Georgia), Albert (Melissa), Arnold (Carmen), and Arthur (Dolores) Arias.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary Arias.
Viewing and Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on August 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on August 13, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by Committal and Interment at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on August 13, 2026, at 11:15 am.
