
Ann Chambers passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 91. She was born on April 10, 1924 to George A. Mathews and Blanche Crowe Mathews in Drake Mills, Pennsylvania. She held her Master’s Degree and was an Educator employed by Lakeland Community College of Ohio for many years until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed raising butterflies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alan Chambers and her three brothers, William “Bunk” Mathews, John Mathews and George Mathews. She is survived by her son, Williams A. Chambers of Saint Augustine, Florida; three daughters, Louise (John D. Barrow) Chambers of Corpus Christi; Madeline (Bob) Pendergrass of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Cynthia (Wally) Miller of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Peter (Martha) Mathews; four grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Cage Mills Funeral Home in Corpus Christi between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
