

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister, and her husband, Red Vinson.
She is survived by one brother, Andy Bookout; three children, Waukeene (Louise) Vinson, Carolyn (Rea) Patrick, and Pam (Ray) Balentine; eight grandchildren, James (Celena) Vinson, Jacob Vinson, Marvin (Debbie) Patrick, Scarlet (Thierry) Wright, Jimmy (Trish) Patrick, Alyssa (Tom) Mackey, Daniel Balentine and Kelsey (Morgan) Adare; fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Louise was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for fifty years. She was active in Vacation Bible School, served as chairman of the kitchen committee, worked with the Day School committee, and was a faithful Sunday School worker.
Before retirement she worked in retail sales first at Sears and later at Sea Treasures Shell Shop.
She loved being outdoors and worked tirelessly in her yard with her plants and flowers. She belonged to a craft group for many years and was a very talented seamstress and worked on crochet, needlepoint, and embroidery. While working at the Shell Shop, she became involved in shell crafts, creating Christmas ornaments, jewelry, mirrors and wreaths, and a wide assortment of other shell figures.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 2421 Gollihar, Corpus Christi, TX on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at seven o’clock in the evening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
