Antonia S. Armijo

Antonia Sanchez Armijo, 84 passed away on January 17, 2019. She was born in Alice, Texas on January 17, 1935 to Cornelio and Maria Lara Sanchez. She graduated from Robstown High School. She married Jesse C. Armijo, Jr. on Dec. 18, 1960. She was a strong, hardworking provider for her children. Her family was her everything. Her eyes would light up with excitement when she saw her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and leaves behind a strong faith and love.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Armijo. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jesse C. Armijo, Jr.; children, Violanda Armijo, Daniel Armijo, Michael Armijo, and Gloria Armijo Winslow (Evan); daughter-in-law, Tammy Armijo; sister, Margarita Marines; brother, Roberto Sanchez (Marianna); 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, with a Holy Rosary be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
