Antonio "Tony" Falcon Leal Sr.

Tony was born in Kingsville, TX on January 21, 1925 to Trinidad Falcon Leal and Santos Moreno Leal, Sr. He was raised on the family ranch, “La Trinidad” in Palito Blanco, TX. Tony finished elementary school in nearby Ben Bolt, TX, and then attended Corpus Christi High School. In 1945 Tony began his career at Navy Overhaul & Repair, known today as Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). Tony retired from CCAD in 1983 after 38 years of service.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and an infant son, Robert Antonio Leal. He is succeeded by his wife of 63 years, Cruz Ramirez Leal. He is also succeeded by four children: George Antonio (Barbara) Leal; Tony Falcon Leal, Jr.; and Robert (Debra) Leal of Corpus Christi, and Gloria Leal (Bruce) White of Richmond, TX. Three granddaughters, four grandsons, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also succeed Tony.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX, immediately followed by a Rosary at the same location at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be said on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 1302 Lantana St., Corpus Christi, TX. Burial will be private at La Trinidad Ranch, Palito Blanco, TX.

The Leal family wishes to offer special thanks for exceptional care provided by numerous caregivers as well as Dr. Charles Breeling and staff, Dr. Robert Lewis, and Dr. Blake O’Lavin.
