Archie Gurley Sr.

He became a Christian in his early life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert, W. C. and Thomas Jr. and one sister, Sara H. Madden.

Archie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Dr. Helen Gurley; two sons: Archie Jr., of West Minister, MD, and Thomas Jeffrey (Lolita) of Waldorf, Maryland and one daughter, Vallissia Lynn Gurley of Corpus Christi, Tx., three grandsons, Christopher Keith Gurley, Glen Burnie of MD, and Andrew Thomas Gurley of Corpus Christi and Alexander Jeffrey Gurley of Corpus Christi, and one granddaughter, Jalessia Bruná Jones of Waldorf, MD; two sisters, Odell Hayes of Huntsville, AL. and Evie Bell of Huntsville, AL; two brothers-in-law, Billy Joe Hildreth (Vera) of Smackover, AR., and Earl L. Hildreth of Camden AR.; three sisters-in-law, Melva Allen (Norman) of Dallas, TX., LaRuth Buggs (Willie) of Smackover, AR., Cora Gurley of Gurley, AL., Archie also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
