

ANGUIANOA loving and amazing man has gone to be with our Lord after a courageous battle with his health. Arthur passed away on December 12, 2009.He was born March 24, 1951 to Salvador and Mary B. Anguiano in El Campo, Texas. He resided in Lubbock, Texas most of is life, and graduated from Lubbock High. He married the love of his life Rosa Figueroa on January 2, 1969. He worked at Reese Air Force Base from ’74 to ’89 then transferred to CCAD in Corpus Christi in November 1989. He retired after 36 years in July 2009. Arthur was a devoted husband, loving father, brother and brother-in-law, amazing friend and last but not least an AWESOME Papaw who loved to spend time with his family. Arthur was a long time member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Racing cars was his passion that he shared with his son and grandchildren AKA Anguiano Racing. He loved a good BBQ, cold beer, great music and the Dallas Cowboys. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The love he gave his family will live in our hearts forever.He is survived by his loving daughter, Christina Borrego (Jesse) and grandsons, Tony and Adam; his devoted son Arthur Anguiano, Jr. (Rebeca) and granddaughters, Anissa, Arriana, AnnaLisa, Morgan, Hailey and grandson, Arthur Anguiano, III, all of Corpus Christi, Texas.Also surviving include his brother, Salvador Anguiano, Jr., nephew, Robert and niece Melynda Anguiano of Houston, Texas; father-in-law, Adolfo Figueroa, Sr. of Abilene, Texas; his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law all of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, god-daughters and godsons.He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Rosa Anguiano; his parents, Salvador and Mary B. Anguiano; his sister-in-law, Evangeline Anguiano, mother-in-law, Manuela Figueroa, and brother-in-law Joe Figueroa.Despite his pain and failing health, Arthur always put his family’s needs above his own.Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Arellano, Joseph Valdez, Jesse Pena, Lupe Figueroa, Adolfo Figueroa, Jr. and Jerry Mendoza.Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Figueroa, Raul Figueroa, Danny Valdez, Robert Anguiano, Gonzalo Anguiano, Mike Murphy, Mack Martinez, Trey Hopkins, Robert Newman, Charles Stansel, Eric Hall, Ismael Rodarte, Roberto Blanco, Joe Romero, CCAD co-workers and friends.Public visitation will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.and on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 9:00 a.m.until 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
