Arthur Ray McGill

Arthur Ray McGill, 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 14, 2020. He was born on January 24, 1956 to Ralph McGill and Minnie Jane Shands in Corpus Christi, Texas. He married the love of his life, Olga Hernandez McGill.

Arthur loved his job, which he began at the age of 17, driving a truck for 7 Up. He never missed a day of work, even when his children were born. He loved his family with everything he had and was a great provider. His wife, children and grandchildren were his world.

He loved music and especially loved going to concerts; however, his all-time favorite band was the Beatles! His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys. Arthur loved traveling and going on vacation with his family. He loved classic movies – classic everything. He had an undying love for his mother, Minnie. He wanted happiness and peace for everybody.

He will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Olga Hernandez McGill; his two daughters: Evette McGill (Juan Carlos Valdez); grandchildren: Asia Valdez, Sareiya Valdez, Jace Valdez and Anaiya Valdez; Melony (Pedro) Campos; grandchildren: Anthony De Phillip, Margarita De Phillip and Gavin Rosas. He loved his Anthony, and all of his grandchildren, equally. Arthur also left behind many, many friends and colleagues whom will always remember him.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
