Atilano “Tilo” C. Leos beloved father, brother, and grandfather was called home to our Heavenly Father on November 5, 2021 in Taft, Texas. He was born October 5, 1937 in Ganado, Texas to Rafael and Maria Leos. He was a lifetime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas until he moved to Taft, Texas in 2014 after major health issues. He was a 1957 graduate of W. B. Ray High School and worked at Corn Products Refinery until it closed.
Atilano Leos, a child of God, was a sweet, humble, and loving daddy. Tilo loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He had special nicknames for each child. A thoughtful man, Tilo had many wise quotes he would share. He was a great teller of jokes and loved music. He loved to dance, cook, and he made a mean BBQ. He loved fishing, gardening, and he was a treasure hunter. He was a man before his time. He rode a bike for many years which gave him a great heart. He was a very giving man.
Atilano is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Bonnie Rose; his children’s mother, Mary G. Leos; his brothers, Camilo Leos, Joe Leos, and Leonardo Leos.
Atilano leaves behind his five children, Lorraine Salas, Doreane Leos Esqueda, Arnold Leos (Maria), Chula Lopez (Pedro), and Michelle Albornoz (Bill); eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren; his three sisters Thelma (Don), Benita (Bill), and Dora (Jim); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memories.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will follow immediately at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
