

Barbara Kay Rodgers passed away April 15, 2016 with her daughter, Kay Rodgers Bynum by her side. She was born April 23, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Cleburne Fuller and Grace Clinton Fuller. Barbara lived in Corpus Christi all of her life until moving to Fort Worth to live near her daughter, her only living child. She was first in a retirement community until no longer able to care for herself. She moved to Mirabella, an Assisted living facility, the remainder of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Gene Rodgers, two sons, James Mark Rodgers and Everett Gene “Buddy” Rodgers Jr.; her birth parents, Cleburne and Grace Fuller and adopted parents, Maureen and Jimmy Rutledge. Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay Rodger Bynum and her husband, Roy T. Bynum Jr.; Grandson, Brian Bynum, Granddaughter, Bethany Bynum Vickrey with husband Chad Vickrey; and Great Grandchildren, Hayden Juliano, Elijah Juliano, and Aubrey Vickrey.
Serving as her pallbearers are Brian Bynum, Jeffrey Townsend, Dennis McWilliams, Calvin Rayes, Marshall Baker and Martin Eddy.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. that morning in the Chapel at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
