Barbara Perez Ruiz passed away on September 6, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was 85. She was born on December 4, 1929 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Juan and Adelina Medina Perez.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Juan Perez Jr. and Armando Cruz Gutierrez; brothers-in-law, Felipe Castillo Jr. and Julian Ramirez Sr.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bartolome G. Ruiz; daughters, Margarita “Margie” Bennett (Harold), Angelica “Angie” Renojo; sisters, Estellita Castillo and Guadalupe Ramirez; brother, Hector Perez (Julia) and sister-in-law, Grace Perez. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends and family at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Chapel Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
