Beatrice Ysasi

Beatrice Ysasi passed away on February 8, 2022 at 86 years old. She was born on April 18, 1935 in Robstown, TX. Beatrice was a seamstress at Levi Jean Company for several years and was also employed with Corpus Christi Osteopathic Hospital, running the daycare for the hospital employees. Most of her life was she was a stay at home mom, also taking care of her own mother in her time of need. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping and going to the beach.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, Altagracia and Lauro Ysasi; brothers, Sammy Ysasi; Pedro Ysasi, Natividad Ysasi; sisters, Elida Ysasi-Salas, Josefina Ysasi-Garcia, Maria Ysasi-Pena; grandson, Nicholas E. Valdez; granddaughter, Danielle Desiree Vargas; ex-husband, Paul Ramos and daughter, Delma (Gordy) Ramos.

She is survived by her children, Nelda Ruiz (Henry), Vilma Garcia and Nilda Lee Cantu (Ben); grandchildren, Jonathan Valdez (Angela), Christopher Valdez, Laura Longacre (David), Naomi Ruiz, Delaney Garcia, Benjamin Cantu (Celi), Anthony Ysasi (Alycia) and Brandon Cantu (Desi).

Beatrice is also survived by great-grandchildren, Nicholas Valdez (Vada), Jonathan Valdez Jr., Coby Valdez (Jazim), Carlee Campbell, William Campbell, Brenden Garcia, Dylan Cantu, Caleb Cantu, Ella Cantu, Henry Longacre, Olivia Longacre, Elayna Ysasi, Emeryk Ysasi, Emberly Ysasi, Tenicia, Tamia (Alfredo) and Ben (Lauren); great-great grandchildren, Evelynn Kayla, Jeramiyah, Alaniyah and Stellar; siblings, Raquel Ysasi Rojas and Amelia Ysasi Herrera along with numerous nieces; nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Valdez, Christopher Valdez, Benjamin Cantu, Brandon Cantu, Anthony Ysasi, Nicholas Valdez, Coby Valdez, Dylan Cantu, Brenden Garcia, Caleb Cantu, William Campbell.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St., on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3423 Rojo St., on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX 78380.
