It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Belia Canales Ozuna. She passed away in the comfort of her home with her loving husband beside her.

Belia was born in Palito Blanco, TX to Romualda and Fructuoso Canales. Belia and her family uprooted to Premont, Texas where she attended school. She then moved to Corpus Christi during her adulthood where she met the love of her life, Doroteo “Ted” Ozuna. They united in marriage on 9/15/1960.

Belia was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Lynn Ozuna. She is survived by her loving husband, Doroteo “Ted” Ozuna; four children, Doroteo “Ted” Ozuna (Linda), Charles E. Ozuna (Shawn), Glenda Ozuna Lynch (William Allan), Brenda Ozuna De Leon (Victor); Grandchildren, Amanda Ozuna, Angelica Ozuna, Charles “CJ” Ozuna, Cassandra Lynn Ozuna, David William Villarreal, Victoria Madison Lynch; Great-Grandchildren, Aniela and Mason.

Belia dedicated her life to her husband and four children; she was passionate about rearing her children and cooking for her family. Throughout the holidays, Belia took pride in baking “Pan de Polvo” for her family and loved ones.

Belia will always be remembered as a strong-willed individual. She also loved to dance and had an infectious smile; she turned ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. We couldn’t have asked for a more loving and devoted wife and mother.

She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

Visitation will be held Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd. Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Cadenas Cemetery in Palito Blanco, TX.
