Benita L. Lopez

For those of you that had the pleasure to know Benita, you may know her in different roles. Her most fun hobby was playing Bonco with her club which she enjoyed for many years. She was very proud of her Benavides High School award in penmanship and was known for her beautiful cursive writing.

She was a daughter, a sister to twelve siblings and an aunt for nieces and nephews too numerous to count. She was also a wife, mother, grandmother, dental assistant, florist and ceramic shop owner, an artist, the “raspa” lady for several generations of Moody H.S. students, a good friend and neighbor and baby sitter /“grandmother” to three beautiful kids: Gavin, Zacky and Aylah that loved her dearly and she them.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin V. Lopez Jr. and is survived by two sons, Joe Lopez and Javier Lopez.

She lived with her son, Joe Lopez, for 22 years and she will be missed more with every new day.
