Benjamin E. Dovalina

He served in the United States Navy for three years aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Midway. After being honorably discharged he began working for the Corpus Christi Army Depot retiring 38 years later as a Sheetmetal Mechanic Work Leader.

He was a loving father and family man who is survived by his ex wife and close friend (married for 36 years) Ester T. Dovalina, his son Benjamin E. (Stephanie) Dovalina III and daughter Katherine A. Dovalina (Christopher L. Bernal); his grandchildren who he loved dearly and lived for: Benjamin E. Dovalina IV, Angelic Lee Bernal and Christopher Luis Bernal, Jr.; four sisters, one brother, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He lived a wonderful life filled with laughter and love surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

Private family visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., public visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, April 4, 2013 with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens.
