Berta Olivarez passed away on August 3, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born in McAllen, TX on April 8, 1937.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Refugia Rodriguez; brother, Ruben Olivarez and baby brother, Guadalupe Rodriguez.

Berta is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Pedro Olivarez; children, Daniel Olivarez, Susanna Meza, Pedro Olivarez Jr., Pauline Ramon, Fernando Olivarez, Felicia Palacios and Deziree Ortiz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and siblings, Fernando Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Mariana Perez and Juana Ramirez along with many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Chapel services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
