

Beto Montalvo Jr., passed away on August 7, 2024 at the age of 78. He was born in San Benito, Texas to the late Heriberto and Juanita Montalvo. Beto was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Beto was kind to all and enjoyed socializing with his friends and family. Beto was raised by his late grandmother, Maria Linares. He was a proud patriarch of his family and cherished his time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of sports, especially college football and baseball; his sense of humor, and his humility. Beto’s legacy will live on in his family.
He is reunited with his parents; his beloved grandson, Adrian Alaniz Jr; his best friend, Buck Rivers; and several aunts and uncles.
Beto leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 56 beautiful years, Natalia Montalvo; their children, Debra Hernandez (Mike), Cynthia Alaniz Montalvo, Michael Montalvo, Janae Montalvo; their grandchildren, Johnathan Hernandez (Amber), Patricia Cruz (Brandon), Alyssa Tinajero (Michael), Andrew Alaniz (Alexia), Adam Alaniz, Aaron Alaniz, Natalie Montalvo; great grandchildren, Sophie Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Noah Tinajero, Ryan Gonzales, Aralynn Alaniz, Autumn Alaniz, Andrew Alaniz, Arabella Alaniz, Alana Alaniz; and a host of extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A continued visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
