

Billy graduated from North Side High School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1954. He went on to complete two years of junior college in Fort Worth before proudly serving in the United States Coast Guard from 1956 to 1960. After his service, he attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering in 1962.
On June 10, 1962, Billy married the love of his life, Jimmie Joyce Bell. After their marriage, they moved to Kilgore, Texas, where they lived for two years before settling in South Texas in 1964. There they welcomed their son, Dan Wallace Lindley, in April 1965, and their daughter, Selah Lenora, in August 1966.
Billy loved preaching, hunting, and fishing, and he found great joy in sharing his faith and the outdoors with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jimmie; his son, Dan; his granddaughter, Salina; and his parents, Robert and Clemmie Lindley.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Selah Lenora, and son‑in‑law, Gene; his grandchildren, Philip and wife Kristie, Danielle and husband Jake, and James and wife Jaycee; and his great‑grandchildren, Jillian Joyce, Avery Grace, Kai James, Jonah Gene, Aria Selah, Parker Lindley, Jamie Wayne, Rowan Luna, and Liam Matthew.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, at Bible Baptist Church in Odem, Texas, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Burial is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
