Bobbie Jean Moore, age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Spohn South Hospital. Bobbie was born August 8, 1933, in Taylor, Texas to Henry and Willie B Spruel. She was the 2nd youngest of 12 children. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1950 with her family. She attended Solomon Coles High School.
Family was of utmost important to her. She was devoted to her family. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
She was an avid shopper and a smart dresser who loved beautiful clothes, shoes, handbags and jewelry. She was also an avid fisherman. She made sure that her fishing license was up to date, even when she was no longer able to cast her rod, but she wanted her fishing license just in case God granted her one last opportunity to experience the casting of her rod. I know she's sitting on the Dock of the Bay casting her rod and reeling in the big fish.
Bobbie Jean Moore went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her mother, Willie B. Spruel; father, Henry Spruel; sisters, Ethel Williams, Lottie Parker, Durline Bush; brother Henry Spruel II; her eldest son, Gilbert D Roberson JR.; and her second youngest daughter, Sandra Crenshaw.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Darlene Mallory, Lynn Roberson, Shirley Roberson, Debbie Kinney; sons, Willie Roberson and Darrell Roberson, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
She will truly be missed.
