He graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1951. He began his career with Corpus Christi Police Department in 1962 rising to the rank of Sargent and served the city for 33 years. He met his beloved wife of 42 years while working at a high school football game and they married on December 18, 1978. Bobby was heavily involved with the Royal Rangers at Gateway Christian Center for many years. He took the boys on camping trips and was there for them in tough times, nurturing them with his big heart. He was known as Grandpa to many at the church and was a positive influence to so many lives. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and grandkids, working in the yard, and he was an excellent cook. He will always be remembered for being a Godly man who openly showed his love and devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and his son Gary F. Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Clara Bullard; Daughter Linda Harshman (Tim); Son Bobby Bullard (Gina); step-son Don Robbins; grandchildren: Zach Robbins, Samantha Robbins, Bryan Bullard (Ann Marie), Kayla Castleberry, Ty Bullard, Jenny English (Matt), Cassie Gonzalez (Rene), Kaylah Bullard, Brandon Crowson and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m, with Funeral Services held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 and followed by Entombment at Memory Garden’s Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
