Carlos C. Deleon

Carlos Carrillo De Leon 78, passed away on May 25, 2014 at his home. He was born in Robstown, TX on November 4, 1935 to Guadalupe De Leon and Columba Carrillo. He was a life time resident of Corpus Christi and he was the owner of El Zarape Lounge.

Carlos was preceded in death by three sons; Carlos De Leon Jr., Abel De Leon and Victor De Leon, his parents, sister; Josephine Meare and his brother; Joaquin De Leon Sr.

Survivors include his wife; Maria Zuniga De Leon, stepdaughter; Michelle Zuniga (Paul Chatman), stepson; Mark (Lori) Zuniga, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, two brothers; Evaristo and Guadalupe De Leon, three sisters; Leandra Falcon, Delia Sanchez from Corpus Christi, TX and Janie De Leon Davis from Austin, TX.

Special thanks to Dr. Raymond Acebo; Noe Lugo for all the spiritual care; all Legacy Hospice staff, especially nurses, Kristina and Randa, also David Lopez and Eddie Daniels with Coastline Ambulance Service.

Pallbears will be Julian De Leon, Carlos De Leon III, Abel De Leon, Mark Zuniga, Jon Zuniga, and Ruben Fernandez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel-549 Cheyenne,with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
