Carlos Vasquez Sr.

Carlos was born on May 30, 1953, in Salamanca, Guanajauto, Mexico. He later moved to the United States and earned his citizenship. There he met the love of his life Elda (Gaytan) Vasquez while working at a small country store right outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. The two got married on July 30, 1976, and began a family together. Elda blessed Carlos with three sons: Carlos Vasquez Jr., Thomas Vasquez, and Rafael Vasquez.

Carlos was a family man who was charitable with his time and never shied away from helping someone in need. Whenever he had the chance, he loved to be outdoors and spending time with his dog, Molly.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Elda Vasquez; his sons Carlos Vasquez Jr., Thomas Vasquez, Ralph Vasquez; and his daughter-in-law, Brandy Vasquez. Carlos Vasquez Sr. will truly be missed by all who knew and love him.

Visitation will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will occur that same day at 2 PM, with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
