Carmen Contreras, age 90, was called to our Lords home on December 12, 2009, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born July 17, 1919.She was preceded in death by her husband, Meliton Contreras; six sons, Joe, Jesse, Meliton Jr., Daniel, Rudy and Alfred Contreras.She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Fred) Herrera and Yolanda (Andy) Briseno; four sons, Johnny, Paul (Beatrice), Simon (Ryoko), and Ralph Contreras. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2009 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at San Fernando #2 Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
