Carmen Pena passed away on August 20, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born on April 22, 1922 in San Antonio, TX to the late Manuel and Gregoria M. Suarez. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jose Luis Pena and brother, Rodolfo M. Suarez. Carmen leaves behind her children, Robert M. Maldonado (Blanca), Alfredo Pena (Rose), Criselda Zavala (Alfredo), George Pena (Gloria) and Sandra Sanchez; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 710 S. 19th St, on Tuesday, August, 25, 2015 at 9:30 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
