Cecilia T. Reta

Cecilia Reta, 94, passed away peacefully with her son by her bedside on February 18, 2022 at Hacienda Oaks in Beeville, TX, where she had been a resident for over four years. She was born on Nov. 22, 1927 in Oakville, Texas and later moved to Beeville, TX with her family. She was a long-time resident of Corpus Christi, having lived there for over 60 years.

Cecilia was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who loved watching sports, especially the Cowboys, Spurs, Astros and golf. She loved animals and cats and dogs could always be found around the house.

She joins in heaven her husband, Solomon Reta; daughter, Carolina Reta; granddaughter, Elizabeth Tanguma; parents, Cresencio and Filomena Tanguma; brother, Ramon Tanguma; and sister, Trinidad Soliz. She leaves behind her son, Paul (Natalia) Tanguma and nephews, nieces, and cousins to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 am, with a rosary recited at 11:30 am, and funeral service at 12:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
