Celia M. Muniz Martinez

She was born on March 3, 1926 in Laredo, Texas to Felipe and Guillerma Flores.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul C. Martinez; parents; daughter, Azalea M. Rios and brother, Emilio Muniz.

Celia had over 400 hours of dedicated service with the Red Cross and was presented with the Presidential Award showing gratitude for her commitment. She worked at Christus Spohn Memorial for many years. Celia loved dancing, enjoyed singing and was also an avid reader.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved life and loved her family. Celia will be missed by all her family and friends.

Celia is survived by her children, Marina Terry (Joe) Rocha, Raul (Elena) Martinez, Camelia M . (Ismael) Lerma, Rey Martinez and Bernice (Abraham) Castro. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one sister Lucy Cruz.

Public visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Interment will follow at Rosehill Memorial Park
