He was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 3, 1932. Charles graduated from Corpus Christi High School and received his Bachelor of Arts from Del Mar. He was married to Evelyn Jo Dunbar.
Charlie had a career in civil service for the United States Government and retired in July 1993. He was a member of Mid-West Tool Collectors Association and had a passion for collecting antique tools.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jo.
He is survived by his son, Wayne C. Dunbar and his grandchildren: Chad Dunbar, Camie Albright, Heather Richard. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM with funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military honors.
